Eugene, Oregon has always been the quintessential college football town, but the Oregon Ducks' recent stretch of success has turned it into one of the true meccas of the sport.
As it always seems to happen, great football is accompanied by great sports bars, and Eugene is no exception. Paring a long list of worthwhile contenders down to three was no easy task, with many great choices having been left on the cutting room floor.
Regardless, we're confident that you can't go wrong with this list as we present The Top 3 Sports Bars In Eugene, Oregon.
Sidelines Grill & Sports Bar
77 West Broadway Ave.
Eugene, OR 97401
(541) 654-4690
The new Duck in town, Sidelines is the perfect downtown spot to catch an Oregon football game - or any sporting event you can imagine for that matter. Along with their 10 HDTVs (with sound), Sidelines has Happy Hour seven days a week and has some of the best gametime grub of any bar we've ever been to. We recommend kicking back with a brew, a brisket sandwich (grilled onions! melt in your mouth brisket! amazing barbeque sauce!), and a game of giant Jenga after the Ducks roll another Pac-12 opponent by 40.
Taylor's Bar & Grill
894 E 13th Ave
Eugene, OR 97401
(541) 344-6174
The ultimate on-campus hot spot, Taylor's has all the best qualities of a great college football bar - television, beer, and wall-to-wall fans unafraid to break out in chants and songs after an Oregon touchdown. Packed to the roof on gamedays and Friday/Saturday nights, the other great thing about Taylor's is the value - cheap well drinks, the best Thirst Thursday in town, and $4 super mugs full of frosty beer goodness. The food is pretty dang awesome as well (we're a fan of the spicy buffalo wings), so there's really no better place to get both a slice of the real college life (and a buzz) than Taylor's.
The Cooler Restaurant & Bar
20 Centennial Loop
Eugene, OR 97401
(541) 654-4690
Need a bar just a hop, skip, and jump away from Autzen Stadium? The Cooler has you covered. Opened in 1969, there is no better place for either pre- or postgame partying, with televisions literally EVERYWHERE and a top-notch food/drink menu to take in. The Taylor Made prime rib sandwich is out of this world (you can't go wrong with grilled onions, mushrooms, and especially SPECIAL custom made sauce), and the beer/wine selection is sure to please anyone. Also, Taco Tuesdays? WHO DOESN'T love Taco Tuesdays??
