The Oregon Ducks have garnered a commitment from another Class of 2015 lineman who is like to figure prominently into their future, adding three-star two-way star Drayton Carlberg on Friday afternoon.
With Carlberg's commitment, that makes eight linemen (five defensive, two offensive, one two-way) that have chosen to play for Mark Helfrich and the Ducks at Autzen Stadium in Eugene.
Per Justin Hopkins of 247Sports, "the 6-foot-5, 290-pounder was favoring Michigan State for some time until his Oregon official visit. Since that visit the Ducks have gained steam and positioned themselves strongly for the three-star."
Carlberg is the 16th recruit to have committed to the Ducks so far in 2014. Per 247Sports, Oregon currently has the 2nd-ranked recruiting class in the Pac 12 and the 17th-best class in the nation.
Prior to picking Oregon, 247Sports' Crystal Ball gave the Ducks an 80% percent chance to land Carlberg, despite his stated affinity for Michigan State.
