Four-star athlete Michael Pittman is committed to UCLA, but the 6'4", 205-pounder said the Oregon Ducks are "tied" with the Bruins in the battle for his recruitment.
"I'm pretty interested in Oregon, but I'm still committed," he explained.
Pittman will play either wide receiver or linebacker at the next level, and a lot of his interest in UCLA stems from his belief in former five-star quarterback Josh Rosen, who committed to UCLA in the class of 2015.
"They've got a good program, they've got great coaches and some good upcoming talent with their quarterback, Josh Rosen," he said.
Meanwhile, Oregon has been more vocal about the opportunity to play on either side of the ball, though he is primarily communicating with wide receiver coach Matt Lubick.
"Right now, I mostly talk to the wide receiver coach. They want me to do the same thing that I would do at UCLA – come in and see wherever I fit best," Pittman explained. "If I can help the team on defense, I play defense. If I can help the team more on offense, I will play offense. But both teams have told me I have the opportunity to play early."
