The Oregon Ducks had another successful season that brought them another Pac-12 Championship, but it ended with a disappointing loss to Ohio State in the National Championship Game. Oregon is looking to reload for 2015 and beyond on the recruiting trail to return to the College Football Playoff. Who’s on their way to Eugene? Who’s still deciding? All this and more in our recruiting roundup:
OREGON ENDING PURSUIT OF TWO PLAYERS
The Ducks have ended the recruitment of two high level prospects - Rasheem Green and Benning Potoae.
Green, a five-star defensive tackle, has Arizona State, USC, and Miami as his top three schools. Oregon and Alabama were also in the mix, but the Ducks haven't schedule an in-home visit and are moving in other directions.
Potoae, a four-star defensive end, is expected to stay in-state and sign with Washington. He has said that he will make his commitment this week after visiting the Huskies.
OREGON TARGETING NIGERIAN SENSATION
Prince Tega Wanogho Jr., a four-star, 6'8" 250-pound defensive end, has taken the recruiting world by storm. It seems likely that he will take an official visit to Oregon, a school he's very interested in.
“It’s a good school, he said. "They are really good, I’ve seen them play. They have a bunch of Nike, so that’s cool. I’ve seen their football program and seen them play on T.V., it’s a good school and good program.”
Wanogho is also interested in Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, Arizona State, and Baylor.
