Four-star Germantown (Miss.) defensive back Nigel Knott is one of the Oregon Ducks' top defensive recruits for the Class of 2016, and the Ducks will have more time to convince him to come to Eugene than previously expected.
However, it appears that won't be the case.
Via 247Sports:
Last week Knott decided to announce at 'The Opening' in July. This week he has made the decision not to announce at the event.
"I'm going to set a date and do it closer to home to be around friends and family," Knott said.
Florida State has been trending following a recent unofficial visit. Knott has not visited Oregon but said he plans to visit in July, prior to his announcement.
No date has been set by the four-star.
Knott is currently ranked as the #7 cornerback and #74 overall player in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports.
