It's been a busy week on the recruiting trail for your Oregon Ducks football team, so we thought we'd give you a snapshot of what's head coach Mark Helfrich and his crew have been up to in our Oregon Football Recruiting: Spring Update.
Oregon offers Thaddeus Moss, Brandon Jones
The Ducks moved forward and offered 3-star Charlotte (NC) Victory Christian Center School tight end Thaddeus Moss -- son of NFL legend Randy Moss -- along with offering 5-star Nacogdoches (TX) safety Brandon Jones.
While Oregon isn't considered a leader for either prospect (as of yet at least), yet things could change rapidly if Helfrich can set up on-campus visits for both in the near future.
Favorites for Knott?
One player in Oregon's recent gaggle of offers that they could be prohibitive favorites for is 4-star Madison (MS) Germantown cornerback Nigel Knott. Knott has very strong ties to Oregon, and many analysts are projection Oregon as the leaders for him despite several SEC schools in the running.
Jamal Prater retires
Oregon offensive lineman Jamal Prater has decided to graduate from the university this Spring and will nott return for his final season of football. Prater never broke into the starting rotation, but he was widely regarded as a hard worker both on the field and in the classroom.
