The Oregon Ducks have their fair share of impact talents to work with on their road to College Football Playoff glory in 2015, and these next guys are the biggest assets of all. Here's our list of the 6 Best Oregon Football Players For 2015:
6) OT Tyler Johnstone, Sr.
Johnstone was supposed to be Oregon's anchor along the offensive line as their starting left tackle last season, but he reinjured his ACL in August to snap his streak of 26 straight starts and create a sizable void up front in Eugene. However, the 6-6, 295-pounder is fully healthy heading into 2015, and is expected to play like the first-round NFL draft prospect he is.
5) WR Bralon Addison, Jr.
Addison is extremely explosive, elusive, and lightning fast as a receiver and a return man, and emerged as a star in his sophomore season by catching 61 passess for 890 yards and seven touchdowns. He'll give Oregon's quarterbacks a big deep threat, making their job much, much easier.
4) DE DeForest Buckner, Sr.
There's plenty of skill position talent on the offensive side of the ball that could have gotten the nod for the Ducks, but it's the chaos that Buckner can create as a true force on Oregon's defensive line that makes him UO's standout choice heading into 2015. Having started 23 straight games for the Ducks already, Buckner has undeniable range and quickness and a combination of maturity and consistency that will be crucial for the retooling Ducks. The fact that he had 81 tackles and led Oregon in tackles for a loss in 2014 doesn't hurt either.
3) QB Vernon Adams, Sr.
Adams was an absolute monster during his three years at Eastern Washington, throwing for 10,438 yards and 110 scores while adding 1,282 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. With one year of eligibility left as a graduate student, Adams transferred to Oregon for his final season to fill in for Marcus Mariota. He may need some time to adjust to the speed of the game at the FBS level, but once he does, the rest of the country better watch out.
2) WR Byron Marshall, Sr.
Marshall rushed for over than 1,000 yards in 2013, then changed positions to wide receiver and racked up over 1,000 receiving yards in 2014. He has blazing speed and excellent elusiveness, making him one of the country's premier slot receivers. Look for Oregon to try to get the ball into his hands has much as possible.
1) RB Royce Freeman, So.
Freeman had a freshman season that suceeded everyone's wildest expectations, becoming the first true freshman in Oregon history to rush for over 1,000 yards. More specifically, the 5-11, 230-pounder ran for 1,365 yards and 18 touchdowns on just 252 carries. A physical runner with incredible strength and above-average speed, Freeman is a legitimate Heisman contender in 2015.
