Every week during the college football season presents its own unique set of challenges, but these next four games are the closest thing to penciled-in wins on the Oregon Ducks' 2015 schedule. Here's our list of the 4 Easiest Games For Oregon Football In 2015.
4) @ Colorado Buffaloes (October 3rd)
Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre has done a fine job changing the culture around the program in Boulder, but that has been accompanied by just six total wins and a ghastly 1-17 record in conference play over his two seasons on the job. The Buffaloes aren't bereft of talent -- especially on the offensive side of the ball -- but a leaky defense will be their undoing against the high-octane Ducks.
3) Eastern Washington Eagles (September 5th)
Eastern Washington transfer QB Vernon Adams' move to the Ducks is in jeopardy with news that he did not graduate from EWU in the spring, which makes an interesting subplot for the season opener at Autzen. We almost place Eastern Washington at four thanks to a dynamic set of skill-position players which led them to an 11-3 victory and a quarterfinals berth in the FCS playoffs. But, there's almost ZERO chance the Eagles upend the Ducks in Eugene in front of a raucous crowd that's been waiting eight months or so for Oregon's run to retribution.
2) Oregon State Beavers (November 27th)
Mike Riley's "shocking" departure from Corvallis may not be so shocking when you consider just how bare the talent cupboard will be for the Beavers in 2015. OSU returns just two defensive starters in 2015 and will encounter growing pains moving to a 3-4 under new defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake. New head coach Gary Andersen will also have some headaches on offense, having to replace Sean Mannion with one of three quarterbacks with NO college experience.
This may be one of the most lopsided beatdowns in the history of the Civil War.
1) Georgia State Panthers (September 19th)
The Sun Belt cellar dwellers went just 1-11 in 2014, giving up 30 points or more in 11 of its 12 games. Georgia State can throw the ball with Nick Arbuckle under center, but passing the ball against them will be a breeze with a secondary that plays more like a revolving door than an actual FBS unit.
