The Oregon Ducks now have life after upsetting Stanford last weekend, giving them four wins a row. Now, Oregon will look to extend their four-game win streak against USC this weekend. Here are three reasons why they'll do just that:
3) Plethora of weapons
We know what to expect from running back Royce Freeman, and we know he's going to dominate like he has all season, but Oregon's offense is back to being the big-play, home-run threat we've come to know. Three of Oregon's five touchdowns against Stanford came from 47 yards or more, and they'll do the same to USC's defense. Look for big games from Charles Nelson, Taj Griffin, and Darren Carrington.
2) USC's inconsistencies in big games
The Trojans have won four games in a row, but only one came against a good team - and that team (Utah) was vastly overrated. While USC was good in that game, they've been far from perfect in their biggest games of the year against Stanford and Notre Dame. You never know which USC team is going to show up, and that will work in Oregon's favor.
1) Vernon Adams Jr.'s game-breaking ability
Adams has missed or been limited in four games this season, and the Ducks are 1-3 in those games - but are 6-0 when he's fully healthy. He's a talented playmaker, as shown by his 17 total touchdowns this year, using his dual-threat ability to gash opposing defenses on the ground and through the air. The Oregon offense is one of the most deadly with Adams at QB, and the Ducks will use their speed to confuse USC's inconsistent defense again.
