The Oregon Ducks suffered an extremely disappointing loss to Utah last weekend, and they're now looking to get their season back on track against Colorado. Here are three reasons why Oregon is guaranteed to beat Colorado on Saturday:
3) Royce Freeman's dominance
Freeman had a freshman season that suceeded everyone's wildest expectations, becoming the first true freshman in Oregon history to rush for over 1,000 yards. More specifically, the 5-11, 230-pounder ran for 1,365 yards and 18 touchdowns on just 252 carries. He has continued to dominate this season, rushing for 450 yards and five touchdowns on just 69 carries. Expect him to get a LOT more than the 14 carries he got last weekend.
2) Colorado's weak passing attack
The Buffaloes rank 87th in the country in passing yards, meaning they won't be able to exploit Oregon's atrocious pass defense, which ranks 114th in the country. Colorado's inability to produce against the Ducks' one Achilles heel should be a relief for Oregon fans, and will lead to a win for the Ducks.
1) Explosive offense
Whether the Ducks have Jeff Lockie or Vernon Adams under center, their offense has still been one of the best in the country, averaging over 525 yards of total offense per game. Colorado has given up nearly 350 yards of offense per game despite not playing a single Power 5 conference opponent - expect Oregon to gash the Buffaloes early and often.
