ASPEN, Colo. — Attempting to become the first to land a double backflip on a snowmobile in competition, Colten Moore was injured at the X Games and was transported away from Buttermilk Mountain in an ambulance.
Moore, 27, completed the flips in the best trick final on Sunday but over-rotated his sled, causing it to land hard on the belt. Moore bounced off the sled and seemed to be holding his left leg and side as he lie on the course.
According to ESPN, Moore was suffering from lower back pain and was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
