The U.S. grabbed more hardware Saturday at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
Lindsey Jacobellis, won her second gold medal of these Games, finishing first alongside Nick Baumgartner in the debut of mixed-gender team snowboardcross. The Americans were the oldest team in the field, with a combined age of 76.
Three days after winning individual gold in the women's event, Jacobellis, 36, added her third career Olympic medal — after taking silver in the 2006 Torino Games — to her storied career.
For Baumgartner, 40, who was heartbroken after failing to advance to the men's individual final, it was a second chance to earn his first Olympic medal in what was likely his final Olympics.
