Olympic slalom champion Mikaela Shiffrin headlines the first World Cup Alpine skiing races on the East Coast in 25 years as part of NBC Sports’ winter sports coverage this weekend.
Shiffrin, who has won 12 straight slaloms, seeks her first outright World Cup giant slalom victory Saturday and to extend her slalom streak Sunday, both streaming on the NBCSports.com app and airing on NBC. The first runs are in the morning, and the second runs are in the afternoon.
In figure skating, Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu skates in front of home fans at NHK Trophy in Japan, while Jason Brown and Nathan Chen could become the first U.
