With the team and individual all-around competitions completed, gymnastics moves into the individual apparatus finals Sunday with four events.
Americans Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas and Madison Kocian will all be in action, with Biles the favorite to take gold in the vault and Douglas and Kocian among the major contenders in the uneven bars. Also competing in the uneven bars is Russia’s Aliya Mustafina, who took bronze in the individual all-around behind Biles and Aly Raisman.
The U.S. will also be represented in the two men’s events, with Sam Mikulak and Jacob Dalton both in the floor exercise and Alex Naddour competing in the pommel horse.
