With the Olympics winding down there will be more medals on the line. On Thursday, the gold medal bout of the men’s light heavyweight division between Cuba’s Julio Cesar La Cruz and Kazakhstan’s Adilbek Niyazymbetov will be held, with there also being semifinal bouts in three other divisions. American Shakur Stevenson will not be fighting in the bantamweight semis however, as he’s advanced to the gold medal bout via walkover.
At the sailing venue they’ll once again look to hold the men’s and women’s 470 races that have been delayed due to weather, and there will also be medal races in the men’s 49er and women’s 49erFX competitions.
