LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — World Anti-Doping Agency president Craig Reedie says he will “reanalyze” the report into systematic doping in Russian track and field to determine whether investigations are needed into other sports.
Reedie says he will consider potential inquiries into other Russian sports, and track and field in other countries, after an appeal from the WADA athletes’ commission.
Commission chairwoman Beckie Scott said the response was “unsatisfactory” to evidence contained in the report by an independent WADA commission published in November.
The inquiry led by former WADA president Dick Pound detailed state-supported doping in Russian track and field and suggested it extended to other sports in Russia.
