The Vuelta a España, cycling’s third and final Grand Tour of 2018, kicks off Saturday with live coverage of every stage on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and streaming for NBC Sports Gold “Cycling Pass” subscribers.
The three-week stage-race favorites include past champions Nairo Quintana, Alejandro Valverde, Vincenzo Nibali and Fabio Aru as well as Richie Porte and Simon Yates.
Three-time world road race champion Peter Sagan will also start the Vuelta for the first time since 2015.
The last two Tour de France winners — Brits Geraint Thomas and 2017 Vuelta champion Chris Froome — are not in the field.
