American distance runner Grant Fisher has earned his first Olympic medal, making history in the process.
The 27-year-old finished third in the men's 10,000m final to secure the bronze medal and increase the U.S.' medal total to 42. Fisher became the second American man to medal in 56 years and the fourth American man to ever medal in the event at the Olympics.
