Sha'Carri Richardson is looking to reach her first Olympics this summer, and she got one step closer on Friday during the opening round of the women's 100 meters.

Richardson ran a 10.88 to finish first in the first round of the 100-meter time trials, finishing several paces ahead of most of the competition.

Richardson got off to a bit of a rough start in the race but quickly recovered to finish first with an impressive time.

What's more impressive is the circumstances in which she won, as her shoelaces appeared to come untied at some point during the race.
