The U.S. Olympic Committee and Los Angeles officials agreed to terms on a 2024 Olympic bid, according to the Los Angeles Times and The Associated Press, citing unnamed sources close to the situation.
The bid can’t become official until, at the earliest, Tuesday, when the Los Angeles City Council is slated to vote to approve the bid.
On Aug. 12, USOC leaders said they hoped to wrap up a Los Angeles 2024 Olympic bid by the end of August. The deadline to submit a 2024 Olympic bid to the International Olympic Committee is Sept.
