Usain Bolt will be named to the Jamaican Olympic team in the 100m and 200m on Monday, according to the Jamaica Gleaner.
Bolt pulled out of the Jamaican Olympic Trials last Friday with a hamstring injury, before he could have qualified for the team by finishing in the top three in the 100m or 200m.
But Jamaica’s selection policy allows for medical exemptions and discretionary measures, so the world’s fastest man was not in doubt to be chosen.
The report says four men will be named to the Olympic team for each event.
