A contingent of U.S. Women's National Hockey Team players had what they termed a “productive” 8 hours of negotiations with USA Hockey officials Monday in Philadelphia in an effort to head off their threatened boycott of the upcoming World Championships.
Players issued a press release, saying “nearly 20 players” and their lawyers took part in the negotiations.
“(They) will continue this week, with the goal of reaching an agreement that would allow the players to get to camp in time to train for and compete in the World Championships,” the statement read.
