U.S. women roll again in basketball, 103-63 vs. Spain

RIO DE JANEIRO — When a team brings the 2015 WNBA MVP (Ellena Delle Donne), a first-team 2015 All-WNBA performer (Angel McCoughtry) and the strong favorite to win 2016 WNBA rookie of the year (Breanna Stewart) off the bench, the other team is in trouble.

Spain happened to be that troubled team on Monday.

The USA defeated Spain 103-63, improving to 2-0 in group play. It was the 43rd consecutive Olympic victory, and it was accomplished with balance.

Nine players scored at least eight points, led by 13 points from Diana Taurasi, 12 each from Sylvia Fowles and Delle Donne, 10 each from Brittney Griner and McCoughtry.
