Watching Kikkan Randall race to 13 World Cup victories, the most for an American female cross country skier, clearly has made an impression on her teammates, especially Jessie Diggins and Sophie Caldwell.
Even though she’s not racing this season, Randall has inspired the American women to win in a sport dominated by Norway.
Over the course of four days last week, Diggins and Caldwell made history of their own, winning individual stages in the prestigious Tour de Ski. It’s the first time two Americans have won stages in the tour, which was held over eight stages in 10 days in Switzerland, Germany and Italy.
