U.S.A. Swimming announced that Bob Bowman and David Marsh would be the United States swim coaches at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, looking to lift a powerhouse team coming off a disappointing world championships. Bowman, the longtime coach of Michael Phelps, the winningest athlete in Olympic history, will be in charge of the men’s team. Marsh, the director at SwimMAC Carolina in Charlotte, N.C., will lead the women’s Olympic team and is also the personal coach of the men’s star Ryan Lochte.
