A simple Google Translate mistake at a South Korean grocery store resulted in 15,000 eggs being delivered to their kitchen in Pyeongchang ahead of the Olympic Games, instead of the desired 1,500. If you’ve ever used the free translation tool in a foreign country, you know how easy and hilarious an error this is.
“There was literally no end to the delivery,” chef Stale Johansen told Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten. “Absolutely unbelievable.”
Luckily for Team Norway, the chefs were allowed to return the surplus of 13,500 eggs. Although if they hadn’t, it wouldn’t have been the worst thing — Olympic athletes need the calories and protein.
