Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir announced Saturday they are returning to ice dance competition next season after sitting out since taking silver at the Sochi 2014 Olympics, according to CBC.
Virtue and Moir, the 2010 Olympic ice dance champions, were beaten by U.S. training partners Meryl Davis and Charlie White in Sochi.
Davis and White have also not competed since Sochi.
Davis and White would not leave a run for their third Olympics to the last minute.
In October, White said they would probably have to return no later than halfway through the 2016-17 season if the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Games are their target.
