Here’s something you don’t see everyday in tennis: The player who dropped his racket still won a point.
That’s Kei Nishikori, whose racket clattered to the ground after a serve while facing Spain’s Albert Ramos-Vinolas. The Japanese star appeared to give up, but then glanced up and saw Ramos-Vinolas’s return was more than playable. So he grabbed his racket as the ball took a bounce, continued the point and won it.
Never give up, right?
