That’s right, someone actually got a tattoo of Michael Phelps’ now-famous death stare before before his 200m butterfly semi-final race earlier this week, the angry face that launched countless memes.
But what’s even more fascinating about this is Chronic Ink, the tattoo shop responsible for it, is located in Canada. Here’s more from The Global News:
“Livia Tsang, the tattoo artist that created the Phelps piece, told Global News the portrait was done on her boss.
“I definitely saw the memes beforehand, and when he sent me the photo via WhatsApp, we had a bit of a laugh about it but then pretty spontaneously decided to go ahead and do it,” the tattoo artist revealed.
