Six sailors qualified for the U.S. Olympic team over the weekend, pushing the entire U.S. Olympic team across all sports to more than 30 members.
Paris Henken and Helena Scutt (49erFX), Thomas Barrows and Joe Morris (49er) and Bora Gulari and Louisa Chafee (Nacra 17) became the first members of the Rio Olympic sailing team via results in Florida competitions the last two months.
It’s the first Olympics for Henken, Scutt, Morris, Gulari and Chafee. Barrows sailed for the U.S. Virgin Islands at Beijing 2008.
