RIO DE JANEIRO – Simone Biles wrapped up her remarkable Olympic Games with some more history.
The American gymnast won her fourth gold medal here Tuesday, winning the floor exercise at Rio Olympic Arena.
Biles joins Ecaterina Szabo (1984), Vera Caslavska (1968) and Larisa Latynina (1956) as the only gymnasts to win four gold medals in one Games.
She has claimed a team gold, as well as individual golds in the all-around and vault. She won bronze on balance beam on Monday.
Biles is now the fourth American to win five medals in one Olympics.
