GLASGOW, Scotland – The medal Simone Biles claimed Saturday is a different color than the collection of golds she’s been amassing here. But that didn’t leave the American powerhouse disappointed.
Biles took bronze in the vault final here, adding that to her team gold and third consecutive gold in the all-around. Russia’s Maria Pasenka took gold, averaging 15.666 on her two vaults, while North Korea’s Hong Un-Jong took silver with 15.633-point average.
Biles averaged 15.541.
“It’s not disappointing at all because my second vault isn’t up to par with theirs,” Biles said. “It is what it is, but at the end of the day it’s just an honor to get on the podium.
