For the second time in his career, Shaun White scored a perfect 100 to win. This time, it got him to a fourth Olympics.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist punched his ticket to Pyeongchang with a win at the U.S. Grand Prix in Snowmass, Colo., on Saturday.
White previously scored a 100 to win the 2012 X Games.
In one of the most progressive halfpipe contests, White landed a monster final run that beat out Australian Scotty James.
White’s winning run included a massive 1440 double cork on the first hit and two more 1260 double corks, including one on the last hit.
