Scotland's Bennett picked for Britain 7s squad

LONDON (AP) — Scotland center Mark Bennett's bid to play in the Olympics paid off when he was picked in the Britain rugby sevens team on Tuesday.

Three other 15s players made the cut: Winger Marcus Watson, brother of England winger Anthony; flanker James Davies, brother of Wales center Jonathan, and winger Ollie Lindsay Hague.

The rest of the 12-man squad, captained by Tom Mitchell, was professional sevens players from England (half the squad), Wales and Scotland.

The women's squad led by Emily Scarratt, has only one non-England player, Jasmine Joyce of Wales. It includes several England players from the triumphant Women's Rugby World Cup in 2014.
