INDIANAPOLIS — All of the U.S.’ best men’s gymnasts fell from apparatuses at the P&G Championships on Sunday.
Even Sam Mikulak, who walked away with this third straight U.S. all-around title despite faceplanting on his first event (high bar) and nearly tumbling off the mat on the dismount of his last routine (parallel bars).
The Olympian Mikulak prevailed by 4.35 points over two days of competition, the largest U.S. all-around margin of victory since the current scoring system was introduced in 2006. Donnell Whittenburg was second, followed by Chris Brooks (full results here).
