An appellate court in Brazil has allowed for the continuation of a criminal case against Ryan Lochte following an appeal by the Rio de Janeiro prosecutor’s office, according to a report from O Globo.
A ruling by the Court of Justice suspends the decision of the appellate court that dismissed the case in July, the newspaper reported Friday.
“I’m disappointed that they’re trying to take another shot at it,” Jeff Ostrow, Lochte’s Florida-based attorney, told USA TODAY Sports. “I think they should just let it die because they lost and because he didn’t do anything wrong.
