Four medals were awarded in rowing Friday morning
First up was the lightweight women’s double sculls final, as Ilse Paulis and Maaike Head of the Netherlands snared gold ahead of Canada’s Lindsay Jennerich and Patricia Obee. Bronze went to China’s Huang Wenyi and Pan Feihong.
On the men’s side, Josh Konieczny and Andrew Campbell Jr of the USA was in the running for a medal early, but did not finish in the Top Three. France’s Pierre Houin and Jeremie Asou won the race, with Ireland’s Gary and Paul O’Donovan taking silver and Norway’s Kristoffer Brun and Are Strandli in third.
