LONDON (AP) — Roger Federer rolled into his 11th Wimbledon final on Friday, setting the stage to perhaps win his record-breaking eighth title.
Federer beat Tomas Berdych 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4), 6-4 to set up a Sunday final with Marin Cilic. Cilic defeated American Sam Querrey 6-7 (6), 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-5 earlier Friday.
Federer is looking to win his first Wimbledon since 2012, when he tied Pete Sampras and 1880s great Willie Renshaw for most career men’s titles at the All England Club. It would be Federer’s 19th Grand Slam title overall.
