Report: Only Russian track and field athlete in Rio appealing new ban

Russian long jumper Darya Klishina is fuming, appealing an IAAF ruling that has stripped her of a chance to compete in the Olympics.

A day ago, she was the only Russian track and field athlete in Rio. Now, her long jumping privileges have been revoked.

The Associated Press says the IAAF made the move based on “new information it received this week.”

Klishina, 25, says she’s a clean athlete and his proven it “beyond any doubt”.
