Rafael Nadal, Garbine Muguruza lead Spain Olympic tennis team

Rafael Nadal and Garbine Muguruza are tentatively slated to play mixed doubles at the Olympics, as expected, as the Spanish team for Rio was announced Thursday.

The Spanish tennis roster includes 2008 Olympic champion Nadal, the reigning French Open champion Muguruza, David Ferrer, Roberto Bautista Agut, Albert Ramos-Vinolas and Carla Suarez Navarro, the top Spain singles players in Olympic rankings, excluding Feliciano Lopez, who previously said he would not play in Rio.

In doubles, Spain also named Marc Lopez, Anabel Medina Garrigues and Arantxa Parra Santonja, its top-ranked doubles players.
