Police to investigate all Kenya's training camps for doping

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — Kenyan police say they want to investigate "all athletics training camps in the country" for doping after arresting a well-known Italian agent on suspicion that he conspired to provide banned substances to runners.

Kenya's anti-narcotics police unit says in court documents in the case against agent Federico Rosa that they want to interview "affected parties" at the country's famous high-altitude training bases.

The investigation comes less than a month before the Olympics, where Kenya's athletes were likely to be under heavy scrutiny anyway following a series of doping scandals. This investigation could throw some Kenyan athletes' Olympic preparations into turmoil.
