Prosecutors have decided to dismiss the domestic violence charges against Olympic gold medal-winning skier Picabo Street, according to a published report.
Street, 44, was arrested after allegedly assaulting her 76-year-old father in Park City, Utah, in December. But prosecutors have filed a motion to dismiss the misdemeanor counts of domestic abuse and assault.
The motion was filed by prosecutors on Thursday, Summit County Justice Court clerk Janalee Marchant told USA TODAY Sports. Judge Shauna Kerr is out of the office through next week, so the case won’t be fully dismissed until early April upon her return.
“When I called the police for help with my Dad last December, I expected the police to be my knights in shining armor," Street said in a statement provided to ABC News.
