Petra Vlhova and Federica Brignone shared a World Cup giant slalom win with the same time, while Mikaela Shiffrin was .01 shy of making it a three-way tie atop the podium in Sestriere, Italy, on Saturday.
Vlhova and Brignone each recorded 2:21.15 combining times from two runs at the 2006 Olympic venue. Shiffrin rallied from fourth place after the first run with the fastest second run to move from fourth to third.
It’s the second straight season with a World Cup GS tie. Last Feb. 1, Shiffrin and Vlhova tied in Maribor, Slovenia.
