Oscar Pistorius Denied Right to Appeal Murder Conviction of Reeva Steenkamp

Former Olympic and Paralympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius has been denied the right to appeal his murder conviction by the constitutional court of South Africa. The 29-year-old will be sentenced for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp on April 18, as reported by SportsCentre.

A six-time Paralympic gold medal winner, Pistorius shot and killed his then-girlfriend Steenkamp in 2013, per CNN. According to BBC's Milton Nkosi, he's currently on house arrest as he awaits the sentencing phase of his murder conviction.
