Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim will sit out the 2022-2023 snowboarding competition season to focus on her mental health.
The American star and double gold medalist was the youngest women to win gold in 2018 at Pyeonchang at age 17. Now at 22, coming off of another gold in Beijing, Kim wants to "reset" after a "draining year."
"I am definitely planning on competing at the 2026 Olympics. I will be taking a full season off of competition though, just for you know, my mental health just want to kind of reset," Kim told Cheddar News.
