Usain Bolt's sprint toward history continued Thursday night at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Bolt's win in the 200-meter dash made him the first man to win that event three times and the first man to pull off the double (winning the 100 and 200) three times. It pulled him closer to Carl Lewis for total gold medals won in track and field.
Lewis holds the record for gold medals in track and field events with nine. Bolt can secure his ninth with a win in the 4x100-meter relay, which he won in 2008 and 2012, on Friday.
