If it sounds like the plot of the latest spy thriller by Jason Matthews, that’s unfortunate. It’s actually what the Department of Justice describes in a conspiracy that was conducted by seven Russian GRU intelligence officers, according to an indictment announced Thursday.
A grand jury indicted the seven for computer hacking, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft and money laundering.
