Noah Lyles won the world 200m title in 19.83 seconds in Doha on Tuesday, capping a triple gold night for the U.S.
Earlier, Donovan Brazier won the 800m in an American record. Sam Kendricks repeated as world champion in the pole vault.
But Lyles was the headliner in the final event of the night. He powered into the lead coming off the turn and beat Canadian Olympic silver medalist Andre De Grasse by .12.
Brazier broke a 34-year-old American record to become the first U.S. 800m runner to win a world title.
