There will be no sculls taking on a lot of water, let alone flipping, in rowing for Day 2 of the Olympics in Rio.
The rowing competition has been postponed for the day due to weather.
Waves and winds were an issue from moment No. 1 on Saturday, starting with American rower Gevvie Stone winning her heat despite the weather in lane 1 tossing water into her scull.
Then, perhaps most notably, the waves helped capsize veteran Serbian rowers Milos Vasic and Nenad Benik.
You can watch that here, odd scenes from a day described by Britain rower Kath Grainger as “the worst Olympic conditions I have raced in”.
