Jamaican Olympic sprint relay champion Nesta Carter‘s B sample from recent Beijing 2008 retests also reportedly tested positive for a banned stimulant, further putting the nation’s Olympic 4x100m title at risk.
Reuters and the Jamaica Gleaner reported Wednesday that Carter’s B sample came back positive, five days after it was first reported that Carter’s A sample was positive in retests. The reports said the same banned stimulant, methylhexanamine, was the cause for the failed tests.
Carter’s agent, the Jamaica Olympic Committee and the Jamaica track and field federation did not immediately return messages left requesting comment.
